The Soundstage HV10S4 Subwoofer features 40mm of Peak to Peak Excursion, a 2.5″ Ultra High Temp Copper Voice Coil, Long Throw Dual Spider Suspension and a Radial Backplate Venting System. This sub is optimized for Sealed or Vented enclosures.
Power Handling
HV woofers have a large motor structure, but still maintain excellent efficiency. The radial venting system allows for high air flow in the magnetic gap. This lowers the average operating temperature of the voice coil. Under most conditions the subwoofer will reach near Xmax with 600 watts of power. If driven with over 600 watts output may slightly increase, but so will distortion and most of that extra power will simply turn into voice coil heat. For best performance, we recommend 400 to 600 watts of continuous power.
Enclosure
HV woofers work excellent in a wide range of enclosures. They are extremely flexible drivers that do not require a “perfect sized box” to deliver deep, hard hitting bass. In fact, they perform fantastic in most pre-fab boxes.

Good value for the money. Has all the features I would consider mandatory for a subwoofer: Cast frame, vented pole piece, stitched tinsel leads and cone-surround joint, and a thick voice coil with hi-temp coating and proper cooling.
