3D Effect
A proprietary driver covering a specific frequency range mounted in the rear of the cabinet combines with the front mounted drivers to effectively imitate the 70% reflected to 30% direct acoustic ratio of a live event. The result is a speaker capable of 3 dimensional acoustic performance.

Dimension XD Driver
The 3” Dimension Driver is mounted into the back of the tower loudspeakers to create a higher ratio of reflected sound and create a greater effect of spaciousness and realism. These injection molded cones are equipped with a bullet dust cap that corrects time alignment for the most accurate reproduction of midrange frequencies.

Titanium XD (Extreme Definition) Tweeter
The 3D Series employs a complex tweeter assembly that consists of three main components. First, the Titanium tweeter domes provide incredible accuracy in the high frequency range and substantial power handling. Secondly, it is fitted with a device called the Phase Shift Corrector which reduces resonance and distortion in the high frequency range. Third, the entire mechanism is housed in a horn loaded faceplate to improve efficiency. The combination of these ingredients results in the most natural sounding high frequency reproduction over a wide listening area.

PolyXD Woofer and Midranges
A speaker must provide more than just clear high frequencies and the Stage woofers deliver high-impact yet natural bass. Injection molded, polypropylene woofers are infused with a remarkable combination of materials such as graphite and mica for the added strength needed to maintain its shape during the deep bass passages. These cones are mated to rubber composite suspensions to allow a very smooth, linear motion for improved transparency and practically non-existent distortion. This incredible driver sits in an injected copolymer basket that is impervious to the ringing associated with metal baskets.

Woofers are equipped with enormous dust caps to help reinforce the strength of the cone and allow it to maintain its shape in even the most punishing bass passages. Midranges are equipped with a bullet dust cap that corrects time alignment for the most accurate reproduction of midrange frequencies.

Cabinet
The uncompromising cabinet design features rigid MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) construction and bracing for its strength and inert acoustic characteristics. Much of the rigidity of the new cabinet can be attributed to the elegant shape, it is a known natural occurrence that a curved surface is more resistant to bowing and flexing and can sustain a higher load. The large port increases smooth airflow and reduces noise causing turbulence. A speaker free of distortion and resonance requires more than a rugged cabinet with great sonic characteristics, however, as the drivers and crossover components all play an equally vital role.

Max Bass Ports
The MaxBass dual port system permits greater air flow released from the cabinet with no turbulence, resulting in tight, deep bass without distortion.

Crossover Topology
The crossover is the first stop of the incoming signal and plays as vital a role to the performance as the drivers and cabinet. The Stage series uses the same quality of crossover components in all models, guaranteeing that the overall sonic characteristics such as timbre and tone are maintained throughout the line. Designing them simultaneously assures a natural step and demonstrable improvement in each upgrade through the series, offering deeper bass and better power handling. Mix and match them with home theater receivers and get perfectly timbre matched systems.

BFX Control Module
The BFX Control Module was designed to provide both an easy method of accurately blending the subwoofer with your speakers as well as providing a selection of different bass effects to suit personal tastes and various program materials. These effects have been designated with Games, Music, Theater, and LFE. You are encouraged to experiment with the various effects to determine which setting best suits your personal taste and reinforces deep bass frequencies in your specific listening area.

Games
This setting provides the widest range of bass reinforcement and is perfect fro any entertainment loaded with deep effects. If the loudspeakers in the system are equipped with woofers that are 4" or smaller, this is the recommended setting. This setting will reinforce the bass response in the 50Hz to 140Hz range.

Music
This setting provides perfect bass for most music listening and gives bookshelf and medium sized speakers a deep, rich bass effect. If the loudspeakers in the system are equipped with woofers that are 5-6", this is the recommended setting. This setting will reinforce the bass response in the 40Hz to 100Hz range.

Theater
This setting will reinforce bass associated with the best sounding theater. It is best suited for systems equipped with large, tower speakers. If the loudspeakers in the system are equipped with woofers that are 8" or larger, or are equipped with multiple medium sized drivers (5-6"), than this is the recommended setting. This setting will reinforce the bass response in the 30Hz to 80Hz range.

LFE
Many digital surround receivers are equipped with their own low frequency crossover control to adjust the bass sent to a subwoofer. If you choose to use the bass management integrated into your receiver then use the LFE setting. The LFE setting, when used with the bass control of your receiver, will provide the thunderous bass associated with digital effects.
